How long can you rent a Speedheater?
Availability may vary between rental companies, but most often rental is offered by the day and week. Multiple days and/or weeks can often be combined to suit your needs.
Are all machines available for rent?
It varies slightly from rental company to rental company. Speedheater Standard and Cobra are the most common, but many also offer the other models. Contact your nearest rental company for more information.
Can you rent scrapers and accessories?
No, it is the Speedheater System machines that are rented. The accessory that can be rented is the Flexi Arm, which is very good for facade renovations, for example.
Scrapers, blades and smaller accessories cannot be rented.
Is insurance and protection in the event of damage included?
We are responsible for the product in the event of damage that can be attributed to a manufacturing defect. For damage that is not due to a manufacturing defect, the customer is responsible and has their own insurance.
Do I need to leave a deposit?
Check with your landlord how they handle the deposit, as procedures may differ between different landlords.
When will it be cheaper to buy than to rent?
If you need to work more than 5 days with your IR lamp, we recommend that you invest in your own IR lamp.
Is there a minimum rental period?
We recommend a minimum rental period of three days. This is because our lamps require a review, inspection and possibly service after use, which entails some after-work. The rental period therefore also needs to cover these costs. Please check with your rental company what their policy is regarding this.
Will I get a walkthrough of how the machine works before I rent it?
Speedheater is very easy to use, and in just a few minutes you will have the information you need to start using it for paint removal. The rental companies will show you the basics. If you feel unsure, ask the staff for more help.
